Math can lead to greater success.

I use both tactile and working through examples to explain how to solve a problem. I like to break down the problems into smaller pieces and work each piece at a time. I also backtrack to previous related concepts to ensure understanding.
I have experience tutoring elementary math, algebra, geometry, college algebra , and preparation for the ASVAB and SAT tests. While tutoring my students I not only explain the method in solving a math problem, but I also challenge them with leading questions. I want to ultimately help them to develop a process to efficiently work through a problem. Also, I have a strong desire for my students to succeed in passing their class. Finally, I am passionate about students reaching their goals in math and other areas of their life.

I teach how math and science can be useful and fun!

Relaxed style, I am there to help the student learn in whatever way works best for them. I like to use real world situations to make the content practical and ensure that the student both retains the knowledge and can apply it.
I have a BS degree in chemistry and an MS degree in math. I currently teach at the college level for various colleges including dual credit courses in many high schools. I have been a tutor for over 15+ years. I have been a statistician, a chemist in a laboratory setting, worked in the medical field, and done consulting for various companies through out my career. In college, currently an accounting major. Previously a physics major, strong mathematics background in algebra ending with Calculus II, and with science experience ranging from chemistry, earth and space sciences, and physics. I've been a member of academic decathlon in high school and was involved in after school tutoring sessions students in need.

I first began tutoring in mathematics with my brother in law over the phone and quickly branched out from there. I have earned two bachelor degrees, BS in General Physics and BS in Secondary Education, which has given me an excellent background in science and mathematics. I am currently a High School Physics/AP Physics teacher in the Fort Worth area and accustomed to working with students with many different needs. A Little Bit About Me...

From January 2004 to July 2005, I tutored at HOPE tutoring center for children in middle school. The subject I tutored was math. I then earned a bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University. I have learned extensive math skills to be able to tutor Algebra, Trigonometry, Precalculus and Calculus. Additionally, I am a native Spanish speaker and I can tutor conversational Spanish and Spanish grammar.
I enjoy teaching and working with people of all ages. I believe that anyone can learn any subject at any age. I am patient, easy going, and considerate. Everyone learns differently so I develop more than one way to explain a topic until the pupil understands it.
