Math can lead to greater success.

I use both tactile and working through examples to explain how to solve a problem. I like to break down the problems into smaller pieces and work each piece at a time. I also backtrack to previous related concepts to ensure understanding.
I have experience tutoring elementary math, algebra, geometry, college algebra , and preparation for the ASVAB and SAT tests. While tutoring my students I not only explain the method in solving a math problem, but I also challenge them with leading questions. I mainly work off of a student-centered approach with inquiry base learning. I try to get the student to learn the basic concepts and work upward from that point, unless he/she has specific troubles on a single topi.

A Little Bit About Me...

From January 2004 to July 2005, I tutored at HOPE tutoring center for children in middle school. The subject I tutored was math. I then earned a bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University. I have learned extensive math skills to be able to tutor Algebra, Trigonometry, Precalculus and Calculus. Additionally, I am a native Spanish speaker and I can tutor conversational Spanish and Spanish grammar.
