Creative Writing is one of my top subjects! Graduated with a Bachelor's degree in the subject, so I'd like to think I know something about it by now.

I'm a recent college graduate from NC State, with a degree in Creative Writing. However, the CW course instilled in me knowledge in a variety of fields from film to philosophy, and as a requirement of modern education made me more than just fluent in the language of computers. I'm a would-be author, and a writer of short stories, and have won an honorable mention in a few poetry contests. In college I was frequently asked by friends in less liberal majors for help in writing papers and getting ideas across, because while a Biology major dreads the 25 page research paper, the English major just shrugs and says "I just wrote like, three of those yesterday." Hands on- creative-student centered learning!

I am a certified teacher. I have taught first grade and I am currently teaching second grade. I have 2 years experience as a tutor for students in elementary school and also high school. I work hard to help students do the best they can. I look for ideas outside the box to help students learn. Along with hands on activities, I also incorporate catchy ways to remember certain objectives. I make learning fun by creating a great relationship with the student which allows them to learn and want to learn.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. I have very strong math skills, especially in Algebra, which is what my daughter is learning now. I excelled in grammar, art, health, and science as well. I was a teacher at a private school for a year after college before I started a family and began home schooling. My daughter is now in the 8th grade and tests at the college level in reading and high school levels at most other subjects.

As a graduate from an accredited college, I have learned and excelled as a science major.
