Love children and think that all are capable of learning!

I think each child has a different learning style and once you find that they enjoy learning. I like to keep students active and do different projects that they can be creative in doing.
I graduate with my BS in Middle Grades Education on Dec 20th. I am ceritifed in Math and Social Studies and will seek my certification in Language Arts in Jan 2013. I just finished my apprenticeship at a local Middle School and loved every minute of it. I seem to be closer with the students that struggle and need that extra special help.

I love teaching children. For the younger children, I tend to be more hands on with projects and objects to help them learn. I also believe visual aids are very good. During my course as a math tutor, I’ve found one on one tutoring to be most effective. Each child presented different needs and was receptive to different teaching methods, so I would meet with them individually. I believe each child is just as likely to succeed as the next one, and as a tutor, it is my job to encourage and instill confidence in them.
As I approach my college graduation, I have realized how fortunate I am to have been given the opportunity to attend college. I understood the importance of understanding math in life early on and my Finance degree only validated that notion.
