Attending both a community college as well as a large 4-year institute has exposed me to a variety of teaching styles. I believe in a pretty simple rule; repeat, repeat, repeat. Learning math and physics through example is the best way. Repeating these examples is a sure way to success. They student may not like math or physics, but once they start to do well in it they'll come to love it.
During my studies at SUNY Buffalo I tutored in Regents Math which I also took when I was in high school. In Virginia Tech I was a Graduate Research Assistant. I ran Aerospace Engineering labs, assigning work to undergraduate students which I graded. I was available for multiple hours per week assisting students in their homework and lab reports.
