I feel that I do my best work with Elementary age children. I like to make education fun and easily accessible. I love using games and hands on activities to teach lessons. My 5th grade teacher made such an impact on me that I have kept her on as a huge part of my life and I want to be that way with my students. I believe that all students can learn and can enjoy learning. I myself plan to continue my education throughout my life. I want to impact my students' lives both in and out of the classroom.
While in college, I spent my time home from school substitute teaching through Frederick County Public Schools. After graduation from American University, I continued to substitute and in the fall of 2005 I took a part-time position at a middle school, teaching Theatre Arts and Music Performance Lab.
