I began my teaching career by substituting and volunteering at the local schools. I then completed my degree in Middle Grades Education in Social Science. When I began teaching, I taught Reading 3 of the 5 years I taught and fell in love with it. I am currently trying to complete my Reading Endorsement and follow up with a Reading Specialist degree. I am a firm believer that all students can learn if given the proper tools and learning experiences. I utilize a variety of techniques and strategies to ensure my students learn to the best of their ability. I am very passionate about my students learning and very easy going. I finished my BA with concentrations in management and accounting at Troy University in 2007,then worked for three years in an Accounting Office. I left there in January 2010 to pursue my Masters in Accounting. I gained valuable experience in reading, writing and the application of mathematical formulas through working in a fast paced accounting office. I supervised one to three employees, trained them and audited their work. I have never officially tutored a student, but I have trained employees on accounting principals and how to write to the IRS and clients, as well as helping out friends and fellow students. I am a graduate from Auburn University in Montgomery. I have a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I am now attending Ashford University to obtain my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, which consists of grades K-5. I have not currently started teaching, but I hope my chance is coming soon and I will be teaching this upcoming year. I have been a tutor since January of 2010 and have not been tutoring right now because of the summer months. My favorit subject to tutor is math, but I'm capable of doing any subject.
