I was too advanced for the class, and all the other classes offered, and now I meet with my teacher once a week to practice. I am in college to become an ASL Interpreter. A Little Bit About Me...

I've been doing sign language for 18 years, I have a brother and sister who are deaf and thats how I became skilled. I enjoy doing sign language and tutoring people who are willing to learn it. I've taught other family members,friends,even students from school. Whenever someone notices me doing sign language they always come near me and ask me to teach them. I sign very fluently, many people think I am deaf because they see how fast I sign. I am always willing to meet new people and share my skills with them. Its always fun to learn new things.

Since I was a child in elementary school, I have driven to achieve educational excellence for myself and to help and encourage those in my community to achieve the same. As a high school student, I tutored elementary aged kids and when I went on to college I was the director of an after school tutoring program sponsored by the Nashville Public Library. I was later employed by a private tutoring company called Club-Z tutoring.
