Composition is one of my top subjects! My award-winning writing career spans 38 years. Accolades include a Katie Award and three “Council for Advancement and Support of Education” awards. I have been published in national newspapers and magazines, as well as on-line. My syndicated column, “Lone Star Legends,” has appeared in 48 newspapers throughout Texas. As a student I am seeking a career as a psychologist and am 2 semesters away from completing my MA and 2 years from my PsyD. So I understand what it's like to be a student! Over the Top (and not too expensive)

My teaching style has always been about quality. I know that whatever I teach today, will last forever with my students. So if I don't teach, they wouldn't learn anything and I never wanted anyone to ever say "She didn't teach us anything while we were in her class." I also know that I have a job to come to every day and so do the students. I want to want to come to work and I want my students to want to want to come to school, but still learn. My comments on tutoring Composition : I have taken upper level English courses for the past six years.

My teaching style is a demonstrator. I like teacher-centered classes with an emphasis on demonstration and modeling. I try to act like a role model by demonstrating skills and processes and then as a guide in helping students develop apply theses skills and knowledge.
