I am a Civil engineer from an accredited college in Algeria, my degree is French, I am fluent with French and Arabic languages. I have experience teaching French and Math in middle school in Algeria. I awas also a summer camp teacher. I was a J.A. teacher for 4th grade in Corner school for the year 2009. I enjoy working with students of all ages, although most of my experience has been with middle school age and older. I use a couple of different techniques to help students understand math, including using visual aides, problem solving techniques, role reversal (where they explain a lesson to me), blackboard/whiteboard work, and games. I believe it's really the responsibility of the tutor to understand the student's learning style and adjust the teaching to fit the learning style. I have tutored students in math and science (mainly math) for over 13 years. I have helped students in various levels of mathematics - basic math, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and pre-calculus. Admittedly, I have no direct (structured) teaching experience. However, I have nearly five years of experience in the journalism field, and during that time I've mentored a number of fledgling college and high school journalists. And while journalism and political science are my two specialties -- given that I have degrees in both -- I also have a fair amount of expertise in the tangential fields of English and History. I do not have a particular teaching style because I don't believe that a single method works for everyone. Therefore, I operate from an Occam's Razor perspective -- whatever is the simplest solution is the best. I believe I am very empathetic and perceptive, which would enable me to determine what works best for each student.

I would say my teaching style is more relaxed. I believe this helps one see students weaknesses and strengths better. It also allows one to compare the overall effect of teaching for each student. When I see a student falling behind then thats when I take action and try top get them where they should be in that area. My experience is one that has taken me many different places to meet many diffrent people. I have always had a gift of helping others and conveying to them my knowledge. I obtained my BA in English Communication from Talladega College and also i have a minor in History. I have had a great deal of expereince in writng papers, essays, articles ,and reports. I have a very long history in school -- I have been in and out of school for many, many years, staggering my diploma, bachelor's, master's and doctorate across 25 years interspersed with jobs in industry.
