Elementary Special Education Teacher

My teaching style is student centered. I try to figure out what work best for each student and go from there. If a student has a learning stye that is very hands on then I will try to make sure a portion of my lesson is tactile. It is not always easy but I strive to differentiate to meet all of my students' learning needs..
I have been teaching students with many different special needs for the past 19 years. My experience ranges from students with severe developmental delays to students with emotional disabilities. My experience has mostly been with students who have learning disabilities. I also have son that has an IEP for learning disabilities and is thriving now in school. I have worked with students ranging from kindergarten to 8th grade.

I am currently a student at East Stroudsburg University, studying special education and psychology. I am just finished my first semester of student teaching and will be completing the second one in the fall, graduating in December. I have completed several hours tutoring for college of the past 3 years. I have also had two student teaching placements already.
