A Little Bit About Me...

I began my teaching career by substituting and volunteering at the local schools. I then completed my degree in Middle Grades Education in Social Science. When I began teaching, I taught Reading 3 of the 5 years I taught and fell in love with it. I am currently trying to complete my Reading Endorsement and follow up with a Reading Specialist degree.
I am a firm believer that all students can learn if given the proper tools and learning experiences. I utilize a variety of techniques and strategies to ensure my students learn to the best of their ability. I am very passionate about my students learning and very easy going. I have a great rapport with students I teach and will strive to make sure each student has the best education experience possible.

Teaching is so rewarding, there's nothing better than helping someone understand something they have struggled with in the past. I am a very patient person who loves to work with people. I also enjoy helping people overcome challenges. For example: when I worked at the accounting office my specialty was dealing with clients who had or have issues with the IRS. It was my favorite part of the job, especially when the issue was resolved! My teaching style is different for different people, everyone learns differently. Teaching and coaching students to excel is a gift, and I was blessed with that gift.
