A 30+ year career in the field of Graphics and Design that included a directorship managing several graphics and reproduction departments. In working for the University of Kentucky I was responsible for varied assignments such as audio and video manipulation, web design, and teaching as well as digital illustrations and CD-ROM development. In my most recent job I designed marketing pieces, packaging labels, business cards, and checked art provided by customers to ready it for printing. I take a hands on material approach to learning/teaching. I feel that young students learn best when they can physically learn, such as through blocks/puzzles/interactive learning devices and other similar approaches.
