Experience Summary
I spent one year as a day to day substitute teacher working all over York County in various special education classrooms.
My second year was spent as a long term substitute at an alternative high school for boys where I taught all subjects.
My third year I started teaching Specialized Preschool and did this for many years until I retired last year. My students had many exceptionalities. I had typical students visit my classroom every week to read to my students. I did leave Lincoln Intermediate Unit #12 one year to teach in Baltimore, Maryland. I taught kindergarten-first grade to children with Autism and speech issues.
I have 3 grown children of my own who I helped in school.
Teaching Style
I have a very hands on approach because I worked with small children. I believe children learn by doing. If they are interested, you won't have behavior issues.
My Hobbies
Travel, gardening and exercise.
