The past year in Korea has opened my eyes to the enjoyment I can receive from teaching. It made me realize how wonderful American schools are in their understanding and development for children. A Little Bit About Me...

Most my experience with teaching has been on the peer level therefore it has always been easy for me to relate to the students I was helping. Having recently gone through a difficult degree I feel my experience with learning good greatly help other students realize that even though it may not seem like it they can achieve their dreams too. I am a very hands on learner and have always brought that to any one that I was helping through visual aids or actually doing an experiment. I have tutored students both with and without learning disabilities. In my 15 years as a teacher in elementary and high school, and as a tutor, I have covered math through algebra and geometry,biology, geography/history, chemistry and physics. I am capable of tutoring college level courses in math and science, too. I believe each person is capable of learning, and that a report card can be improved by learning 'how to learn'. I use manipulatives, white boards, games, and music to tap into those areas of the brain that best respond to learning the material.
