A Little Bit About Me...

Public school is not always rigorous enough for gifted students. When instruction fails to keep students engaged, they learn poor study habits. Ideally, students master study techniques before entering college either through school instruction or tutoring. I have writing, public speaking and other communications courses at the university level. I have also worked as an editor for the better part of two decades so I am good at identifying writing problems and helping students to correct them. I am also an enthusiastic student of American history and government and enjoy sharing that subject with students.

During my time at Johns Hopkins I interned in clinical research at the School of Medicine, where I served as research coordinator for a study in adolescent women's health within the department of pediatrics. My academic pursuits and experience in clinical research required solid writing skills and the ability to compose academic research papers, laboratory reports and grant proposals.
