My comments on tutoring French : My name is KOdzo Akoto.I am currently teaching French at Cocke County High School in Tennessee.I am a native French speaker and I have a bachelor degree in French. I also have an associate degree in English. I have two years experience in teaching French in high school and three years experience in tutoring elementary, intermediary, and advanced French students in a night school literacy program for adults (in Africa) who did not have the opportunity to attend regular school. I love teaching, and the positive effect that I always have on my students (meaning how they demonstrate the desire to learn more), helps me understand that this is the field in which I would like to spend my career. Even though I am a native speaker, I decided to get a Bachelor degree in French, because I believe it is more professional to have a college degree in the subject that I want to teach, in addition to my previous experience. I passed the GACE basic skills and content assessment in French. I have different approaches to helping my students assimilate the materials that I want to transmit to them. I use common and familiar examples to help students better understand the content of the material, in a very friendly, non-intimidating environment.

My comments on tutoring French : I am French. I have been living in France my whole life and moved to the USA two years ago. My English is now also as good as my native language.

I have no particular experience in teaching, I am still a student myself. I however know best about the language I will be teaching, as it is my native language. I am really pleased to hear that people want to learn French, and I am very understanding. French isn't easy, and I have so far used the easiest ways to get people to understand the language and pronounce it correctly. Affer all, French isn't that far from English. Making languages fun and easy!

Have been tutoring in languages since I mastered English myself. I am a native Spanish speaker born and raised in Ecuador then moved to the US to continue school and graduate high school. I attended a university in Ecuador for a year and all through high school took French as my alternative language course. I took a national French exam to see the ranking I was in and ranked 8th in the whole US.
