I was trained to be a teacher at CSU-Fresno, where I graduated in May, 1999. I substituted for 3 consecutive years in Fresno, Clovis, and Madera Unified School districts at grade levels 3-12. I received my Master's Degree in Sports Administration from the American Public University system in May, 2011, and graduated with Honors and a 4.0 GPA. I am currently trying to obtain my credential and hope to be an Athletic Director one day. My teaching 'style' is a bit unique, in my opinion. By that, I mean that every child/student 'learns' differently, so I must 'adapt' my style 'on the fly' after determining what is the most effective approach/style/method for that individual student. In addition, the subject that I am teaching also affects my style and some 'tools' that I learned as a youngster and a teacher are also implemented frequently.

Currently I'm a student in the excelled masters program at National University, getting my degree in special education and behavior analysis. I work full time for a private company as (my "official" job title) an Education Program Coordinator and group/private instructor, in a variety of general and specialized subject matter. Volunteer and worker at camp Kids Inc for two and a half years. Read to elementary students 3 times a week and help them with reading comprehension. Volunteered to be a mentor to a junior high girl. I helped her with advice but also just was a support for her when she needed it. Worked at a sports team camp teaching little kids from the ages of kindergarten through sixth grade how to play volleyball. Students must understand that they have come to me to learn more. But I also want to enjoy the time I have with them so they feel like learning is fun.
