I love working with kids of all ages. All children are unique and they all learn in different ways. I believe its the teachers responsibllity to understand how their students learn best and then help communicate the curriculum to them in a way that they will best uderstand and retain that knowledge.
I was homeschooled for the majority of my education which enabled me to assit my younger brothers and sisters in their studies. A Little Bit About Me...

I go through all the concepts with the individual pertaining to what portion of statistics they are studying at that time. I will then walk them through a couple of examples demonstrating how to properly obtain the correct answer. I will follow that up by asking them to do a problem without any direct instruction from me. I will watch them work on the problem to assure they are working on it properly. If any mistakes are made I will politely point them out as the individual is working. Finally, I will ask them to work on problems completely on their own and I will check their answers when they are done. I feel the only way to learn statistics, or any math for that matter, is through repetition and working on a lot of problems.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is different for each student. I have never considered myself a student that things come easy to. I always had to find a way to relate to the material, and when I tutor that is exactly what I try to achieve with each student. Sometimes all it takes is it being explained one more time a different way.
As a graduate of the top chiropractic school in the world, I have achieved a high level of education. I have a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I believe the most important key to teaching is having a passionate teacher. When a student has a teacher who is interested in the subject matter, they cannot help but be interested too. In regards to my favorite subject, history, I believe it is best taught by focusing on the ‘story’ aspect of it. When a student can learn the over-arching narrative and hear the inspiring stories of the men and women who have made history, the dates and details will readily follow. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy helping students work through tough problems by allowing them to make mistakes and then rework the problem a couple of times the correct way. Since this is my area of expertise, I am able to come up with examples on the fly that will target the areas most troublesome to the student. Mathematics is a field that requires repetition but making that repetition as interesting as possible is a fun challenge. I do not wish to be a teacher by profession but I do enjoy helping individuals or small groups with science and mathematics.
I have formally tutored with Madison College on two occasions lasting a year. I was also Tutoring throughout my time at Edgewood on a drop in basis with any students that came to the math department and could not reach a professor. I have a BS in Mathematics and doing math at all levels is fun for me.
