1) My experience has given me the opportunity to work with a wide range of 11-21 year old students, who have an equally wide range of educational abilities. I worked one-on-one with students with special needs and helped educate students in regular education classrooms. Working with these students has allowed me to develop and adjust my teaching style to meet the needs of the students. For example, if a student was a visual learner, I utilized illustrations and created visuals to aid in their comprehension of the subject. If a student was a tactile learner, I provided creative and fun ways to make physical examples that would aid in their learning.

A Little Bit About Me...

Learning has always been fun to me. I love helping and teaching others, especially kids. My Godmother has been the Director for tutoring services for FCAT for many years so I’ve shadowed her majority of my life. While in high school I tutored her elementary students after school in basic algebra and science. We also tutored middle school students on Saturdays getting them prepared for FCAT. I tutored kids in reading and math, mostly math because I have a strong background in math and I’ve always excelled in the subject. I spent some time in college tutoring other students in subjects such as mathematics and Hebrew.
