My way of teaching can vary depending on the student because not all students learn the same. Some students can be completely clueless about a certain area or problem, while others may know a little more but get lost at a certain point. What I tend to do is to carefully go over the book instructions, chapter section, notes etc.. because I know that sometimes part the reason why they don't understand is because he/she did not read the instructions or did but still did not understand them. Afterwards I will let he/she start a problem and if he/she still has trouble, I will then explain very carefully and then I will ask if he/she understood; if not i will explain again if yes, then I will give him/her a different example very similar and won't let him see the notes to see if he really did in fact understood. Speak, make mistakes, and learn

Practice makes it perfect so speaking the language and making mistakes is what learning the language is all about. When you go abroad and immerse yourself into the culture there will be no time to write things out and try to explain yourself. You will be expected to speak.
I have spent 6 years in college and have a bachelors degree in Spanish from Stetson University. I have gone on two study abroad programs to Madrid, Spain and traveled all around the country. Spent a total of six months there. Through this immersion I have learned to blend in with the natives and aquired great language skills in the subject.
