I was able to tutor these students and advise them in the general format of the essay. We began by procurring a general introduction, or a statement of fact,followed by the body of the essay, descriptive references, and tying it all together with a summary that proves the point that you have set out to make. As a training manager, I often taught classes to large groups of individuals on subjects such as statistics, Microsoft Office programs, and teamwork, problem solving and quality concepts. Further, as an engineer, I did a lot of one-on-one teaching of job instructions and job changes. I further informally taught other engineers how to perform different tasks in Word and Excel.
Although I am an engineer by education, I have often found myself in a teaching role of all groups of people. I have often been complimented for my tremendous patience and ability to work with others to teach them some new information or concept. I will graduate at the end of this month with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in English, having completed more than 90 credit hours in literature studies and 18 credit hours of creative writing. I am a recipient of the Haussner Endowed Writing Award and have presented my work at the Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society annual convention (2010 & 2011) and my college's Student Research Day.
