Ihave taught in Minnesota, Texas and South Korea. I have earned a Bachelor of Science in English Language Arts Secondary Education, and I am currently working on my MA in TESOL. I have extensive knowledge in grammar, the English Language, poetry writing, novels and teaching reading. I have tutored students of all ages and have a great deal of experience in teaching reading.

My teaching style is, for the most part, non-directive. I think it is important to try to have students answer their own questions. When this does not work, I do not just tell the student what goes where or why this doesn't work, I give reasons and have them tell me these same reasons the next time we come across something that doesn't work.
At SCSU, I work as a writing consultant at the Writing Center on campus. With students, I help to make them better writers by helping answer questions, presenting questions, working through the brainstorming and paper-writing process, and helping with formatting.
