My comments on tutoring Piano : I taught myself how to play the piano two years ago, so I know how to teach the piano to other beginners. I know how to teach the basics. And I am very passionate about playing the piano, I also know a lot of music theory.

I would say my teaching style is really focused on the student and what they need. In school I was an average student never getting lower than a C or higher than in an A. So I really want to focus on listening to the student, especially because they probably are not heard at school. I want to make each subject interesting to the student, whether that means going out and playing basketball or chess or candy or anything the student absolutely loves. I want to attach each subject to a good memory, I don't want to pressure them or push them to just memorize facts that I know they will probably forget after they are tested. From my own personal experience I want any student I tutor to turn around and actually enjoy learning about a subject they are having trouble with.

I learned literary skills concerning literary forms: folklore, poetry, short story, photography, personal essay, analytical essay. My two years of high school Spanish, one year of College French, and completion of breadth college requirements provide a slight ability for me to tutor Spanish and French language, computer navigation, basic algebraic math, and basic social studies. My tutoring style is accommodating yet focused. I am keenly interested in what is relevant to the student, especially when there is room for creativity and flexibility in our tutoring times. I’m very prepared and organized for the lesson, but I am sensitive to students' input for each lesson. I strive to provide meaningful lessons and assistance to reach students’ goals. I incorporate games and activities with young students to review and solidify the students' understanding while maintaining a positive atmosphere. When the student looks forward to lessons, they are more willing to focus when the lesson is more difficult. With older students, I try to use relevant and interesting themes or material to keep the lesson enjoyable.
