ADD/ADHD is one of my top subjects!

Many of my previous jobs have surrounded helping others. Whether that was through tutoring and teaching or customer service. Growing up I also tutored my younger sister and my cousin who has a learning disability. I have always been passionate about helping others, especially through education. My dissertation explored five hypotheses, and I found statistical significance in all five; thereby supporting the notion that adding online instruction to traditional instruction can improve student learning. I use the Active Participation strategy because it engages the learner not only in understanding but in contributing as well. This active learning process combined with introduction of practical uses/examples of the the subject matter provides a deeper meaning. I have been a substitute teacher for about 10 years specializing in math & physics. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering plus 20+ years of maintenance/engineering experience. I incorporate practical examples in teaching to give students in depth knowledge in a practical sense.
