Exciting and effective tutoring available!

I have always had the ability to effectively teach my family, peers, and other classmates. However, I recently decided to get into the field of tutoring. My very first session, I fell in love with it. I am understanding that each student has different needs, different strengths and weaknesses. Biology is one of my top subjects! My current undergraduate research is in biology, and I am getting a BS in biology (as well as chemistry).

I employ a variety of techniques in teaching, including visual representations of abstract concepts, interactive tailored example problems created for each individual student, and interactive exercises to practice concepts.

Learning can be fun!!

When tutoring, I strive to make lessons engaging, effective and enjoyable. Specifically, I tailor lessons according to an individual student's needs and involve students in a dialogue by asking questions that provoke thought, conversation, and perhaps humor. Because facts and figures are easily looked up in the information age, I place particular emphasis on thinking and on "learning how to learn". Biology is one of my top subjects!
