After getting my degree in Printing/Desktop Publishing/Graphic Design, I ran my own successful business for 11 years. Tutoring was my link to the creative challenge of showing people a way to enter the world of books, or create a monthly newsletter for their charity, or publish a catalog of services available to those in need. I taught reading and math skills to K-3 in a public school setting after moving cross-country for health needs. I have a background in math, grammar, phonetics, and reading. I have taken more than the amount of credits I need to graduate with a BA in mathematics from Luther College. I have minors in physics and chemistry. I have always enjoyed math. I have assisted an elementary school teacher in tutoring mathematics.
