Theatre Is Fun, So Let's Have Fun

I have experience in theatrical design (costume and set painting), and performance (drama, musicals, comedies). I also have worked with children as a mentor in KidStage (an after school theatre program) in which I taught theatre skills, games, styles to children between ages 6-10. I believe that homeschooling and private lessons allow kids and adults to learn and understand their subject matter quicker, more efficiently, and with close guidance. I believe that all children can learn, and when a child has difficulty grasping a concept, the teacher must change their technique. I have used a variety of methods when working with children. Manipulatives, flash cards ,games and stimulus equivalence training are just a few. I also believe that a child that needs extra help with a subject should not feel like they are being punished.
