I have always loved children. Children are precious and all have very unique learning techniques. When I was a senior at Maryville High School, I taught Spanish to first graders. My partner and I were in charge of making lesson plans and fulfilling these plans for each class. I really enjoyed seeing the children get excited about learning. I enjoy seeing children learn new things. I know that every child learns differently. It is important to get to know the children that you are teaching and figure out what teaching technique fits there needs. I feel like I do an excellent job of portraying what I am trying to teach.

I believe learning should be fun. In my experience I have found that if a student has fun and laughs during a lesson, he/she will remember the contents of the lesson more. I strive to create memorable experiences for my students. I am also patient teacher. Ideally, my students learn by investigating and drawing their own conclusions. I will serve as a guide and provide hints and correct answers. My goal is that the passion I have for learning and for the subjects I teach will ignite a passion in my students. I was determined to be the first to attend and graduate from college out of a big family. I have learned different aspects of Psychology to apply to everyday life. In the last 10 years, I have been working with troubled teens to help them get their lives back on track. I have also done some tutoring in between. Working with different age groups, have shown me that every child is their own individual. I get to know the children I work with to understand the best approach to take with them. I can work in small groups, large groups, or individual. Some children are shy and may work better alone. It takes patience to teach and I am blessed to have that gift.
