I teach them what the teachers do not or will not teach. I also help my clients understand the materials given to them and even help them find anything relating to their course of study which will help them in their assignments.

I am a two year history major with a life long interest in history. I am also an avid writer with various blogs, articles, and a few books either written or edited. Everyone's teaching style is an accumulation of the teachers they have met. My favorite teachers were tough, they pushed me to do my best, and encouraged me to draft, edit, and to have high expectations for myself. Their goals were realistic, and relevant. Throughout college I was a tutor with a Learning Center. I worked with children in grades K-12. At this center, we helped build reading and math skills individually and in groups. I was also a private tutor for a high school student. Together we improved her study skills and organization. I assisted her with writing assignments, projects, and daily homework. I also worked in the Camden County school system as a substitute teacher and secretary. At Mercer University, I earned my BA in Communications and Theater Arts, and an English minor. My college grade point average is currently 3.53. After finishing up my A.S. (six more credit hours), I plan to further my education at Ellis University online for a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Math and Physics. My entire senior year of high school, I tutored Algebra I and Algebra II students. A Little Bit About Me...

I love children and watching their eyes light up when understanding a certain subject brings joy to my heart. Patience is one of my strong points and I try to let the child reach thier goals in learning as independently as possible by encouraging them to work toward and answer to a question methodically and using a "figure it out" type style. As I was taking college courses, I also taught swimming lessons, after earning the ARC Lifeguard and WSI certificates. I also tutored grade school children during college in basic subjects. In college I also tutored other college students in basic English, as my major was communication and I have a fairly strong command of English. I also have experience in the newspaper industry and thoroughly enjoy helping people. I completed my BA in 2002.
