I have over ten years of classroom experience as a professional educator in a variety of settings including the states of Arizona, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, D.C., as well as a two-year stint at an American school for Egyptian students in Cairo, Egypt (Science teacher). I have dual master's degrees and outstanding reading, writing, and communication skills. I have worked with youth in a variety of roles including teacher, coach, tutor, mentor, and youth development specialist and have worked with a diverse group of students ranging from public/private school students in urban and inner city environments as well as at-risk youth. My teaching experience may be quite underdeveloped but is no way a reflection of my teaching ability. I have been a substitute instructional aide for 3 months and volunteer coaching track & field; These two endeavors have shown me the importance of versatility in teaching methods and the different learning faculty that children possess.
