I have over ten years of classroom experience as a professional educator in a variety of settings including the states of Arizona, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, D.C., as well as a two-year stint at an American school for Egyptian students in Cairo, Egypt (Science teacher). I have dual master's degrees and outstanding reading, writing, and communication skills. I have worked with youth in a variety of roles including teacher, coach, tutor, mentor, and youth development specialist and have worked with a diverse group of students ranging from public/private school students in urban and inner city environments as well as at-risk youth. I love to teach. I have experience with 5-50 years old and, if pressed, could not name a favorite group. I believe that everyone can learn; some of us just process information in different ways. As a tutor it is my job to discover how a student processes information and adapt my lesson to accommodate them. Learning can be both fun and serious, as long as it is productive.
