Kate D. - Pooler, GA 31322 (15.8 mi) - TOEFL Tutor - $42.50/hr.
I teach all levels in ESL and French. My teaching methods depend greatly on the students as every student has his or her own learning style!
I am very patient with young children as I have had four children myself. I have been teaching French to English-speaking people living in France since 1979. I have also been teaching English as a Second Language to French adults in a business environment and to high school/college students as well.
I particularly enjoy tutoring reading and spelling to children K-12th Grade. However, since I have been residing in France for over 35 years, my speciality is also ESL and French to non-French speakers. My undergraduate degree was obtained at Agnes Scott College (Decatur, GA) and I went to France for my Junior Year Abroad. I am now moving back to the States (Savannah).

albert j - savannah, GA 31404 (21.3 mi) - TOEFL Tutor - $32.50/hr.
While planning for a career in medicine, I obtained a BS in biology with a minor in Chemistry. During the application and acceptance process I was an adjunct faculty member at a local technical college. My courses taught were remedial Algebra, biology, and anatomy and physiology. During the hours between classes I was a paid Tutor in the college's learning assistance center. I wouldn't have a "professional" description for teaching style as my education was solidly based in the sciences. However, I believe that by teaching intuitive thought processes and critical thinking skills, students can easily adapt to the tasks given be they in science or liberal arts.
