A Little Bit About Me...

While I was in high school, I took honors courses and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. I tutored an 8th grade-9th grade boy in TCAPS preparation and helped him complete homework in Math (pre-algebra, algebra, and pre-geometry), Science (biology), and English. I tutored him for two years. After I graduated high school I was accepted to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where I am currently in the spring semester of my sophomore year. I have found that children are very comfortable with me, which makes the learning process flow more smoothly. I was trained to discover the problems that prevent children from learning to read and absorb written material. Children learn in different ways, and I try to individualize my teaching methods to suit the individual child.
After earning my teaching degree in English, I gained some middle school and high school teaching experience, then took a different path for some years.
