Specializing in English, Spanish, and Elementary help!!

My area of expertise is the English language and grammar. I took two year's worth of Advanced Placement English classes during high school and made either 4's or 5's on both exams. The score of 5 on my senior level exam allowed me to place out of Freshman English during college and jump right into Sophomore English. I just made an A in that Sophomore class. I also took Spanish for four years during high school, and have already taken a college level class with a final grade of A. I will be taking another class this coming semester, and after only three more Spanish classes I will have a minor in Spanish language. A Little Bit About Me...

While I was in high school, I took honors courses and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. I tutored an 8th grade-9th grade boy in TCAPS preparation and helped him complete homework in Math (pre-algebra, algebra, and pre-geometry), Science (biology), and English. I tutored him for two years. After I graduated high school I was accepted to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where I am currently in the spring semester of my sophomore year. I will be returning to Johnson City this summer and am available to tutor. After earning my teaching degree in English, I gained some middle school and high school teaching experience, then took a different path for some years. While earning my master's degree in reading education, I gained experience by helping teach children at Western Carolina University's reading clinic in Asheville. I have done some individual tutoring on my own, while searching for a position in my field. As an avid reader myself, I know the value of a sound reading ability. I try to instill that love of reading in my students.
I have found that children are very comfortable with me, which makes the learning process flow more smoothly. I was trained to discover the problems that prevent children from learning to read and absorb written material.
