My comments on tutoring Genetics : I enjoy the subject

I use examples to elaborate or past exams to help the student understand a subject.I prefer having a writing board for working space
I worked as a Math, Chemistry and Biology tutor at Fresno Pacific from August 2009 to May 2010. In addition I volunteered at an after school program for children between the ages of 5 and 12 tutoring and mentoring them. With a bachelor's in pre-health science I have had the opportunity to take many scince and math classes which have enhance my knowledge of the subject. I have also worked as a teacher's assistant for principles of Biology and Physical science;helped grade homework and lab reports. As a tutor I worked one on one with students and in occasions worked with groups of students.

Genetics is one of my top subjects! Earned an A at Fresno State

I have very little experience in tutoring. I do however, have a B.A chem degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude. I can bring this experience to help others achieve what I have. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching/tutoring style is helping the student understand the problem and assisting them towards the answer without trying to give them the answer. I also adapt to try to find more than one way to approach and/or solve the problem the student is having difficulty on. I want them to understand more the concept behind the question rather than getting a participle question right. I am patient, easy going, and considerate.
