Since each person has his or her own way of learning, I like to be creative with teaching in order to find a style that best suits the student's needs. Along with traditional teaching methods, such as worksheets and practice sheets, I like to also add a variety of activities (roleplaying, games) that keep the lesson interesting as well as encourage the student to think about the topic from a different angle, perhaps making it easier for them to understand the topic.

I like using at least 5 different kinds of activities per session to keep interest. I enjoy working with phonics and have used it extensively to build performance. I enjoy using books that interest each child to help them have a great desire for reading.
Experience with phonics(as a teacher of 1st graders, also experience with children who have learning difficulties, referred to by the school. These children ranged from kindergarten to 8th grades.
