A Little Bit About Me...

During high school I tutored at an elementary school during two summers for over 300 hours. From January-April 2013 I tutored the AVID program for 17.5 hours a week for all grade levels. From these experiences, I have learned how to encourage and instruct a variety of personalities and skill levels.
I would describe my teaching style as "facilitator" considering the fact that I am able to come up with questions that lead the students to finding the correct process and answers on their own.

First, I analyze my students to determine their learning style. Based on that, I customize my lessons to fit each individual student's needs. I commonly use visual tools such as colorful drawings and try to connect the material to real world situations.
I majored in Biochemistry and Pharmacology at the UNAM in Mexico City. You have to be odd to be number one!

In the future, I want to work with kids, helping them to become successful and self expressive. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Spanish and Religion. I have been tutoring for over four years at all grade levels.
