Spanish is a very interesting language,but it has many different dialects. Every country has its own roots and words that have the same meaning as from other countries. I am a person that is very dedicated to whatever it is that I have to do. I like people to be able to understand and feel confident with what they are learning. I find different strategies and different ways to make people understand the language and whether it is learning how to say the word or writing it; I have many methods for students so that it can be fun and easy for them. Languages are not just about listening and reading is also about using that language as much as we can and repeating a lot. I am a junior at Rollins College studying marine biology. I have many years of experience in the sciences with my main focus on biology/marine biology. I took AP Biology in high school and have spent the past three years furthering my education in marine biology. I am also proficient at Spanish. I took it for 6 years before college including AP Spanish, and was a Spanish tutor in high school.
I am a very hands on learner so I like to get students actively involved in their learning. However, I understand that some people like taking notes and are more of a visual learner. I am very capable of approaching tutoring in this manner if that is what the student prefers.
