I have worked as a Budget Director at a municipality for the past 15 years. Municipal accounting. Prior to this I worked for a small CPA firm and performed auditing at hospitals, credit unions and not for profits. Prepared financial statements and performed audits. Prior to the CPA firm I worked in the accounting department of a bank. Extensive work experience.
I am a good communicator and present many ways to understand a new concept. Applying real world examples to help someone grasp the material.

CPA with Post Secondary Instructional experience.

My teaching style for accounting is to encourage the student to visualize the "real world" transaction and relate it to accounting. Once this is done the accounting becomes a part of the transaction.
I am a CPA and have forty years experience in a business environment. My background is a strong, diversified as I have experience in Public Accounting, Internal Audit, Corporate Accounting and Nor-for-Profit organizations. I basically reword and redefine until I can see the proverbial light bulb go off. That is the greatest satisfaction in the world!
I have volunteered as a tutor/mentor/teachers aid, full time, from 1983 through 1989. I returned to college and received my Bachelor's Degree in Accounting in 1993 and passed the CPA exam in 1994, receiving my license to open my own firm in 1999.
