I would like to take the time to introduce myself to you. I have recently gradated with a bachelors degree in Accounting with Magna Cum Laude honors in December 2014. CPA with Post Secondary Instructional experience.

My teaching style for accounting is to encourage the student to visualize the "real world" transaction and relate it to accounting. Once this is done the accounting becomes a part of the transaction.
I am a CPA and have forty years experience in a business environment. My "style" is whatever the student needs. Since each level of education has its own complications, and each student has a different learning capability, my approach must be flexible. I have volunteered as a tutor/mentor/teachers aid, full time, from 1983 through 1989. My teaching style is a combination of techniques I found successful during my educational studies. First, I believe the teacher has to be passionate and have a true love for what he or she is doing; this is passion, or lack thereof, is evident when interacting with a student. Second, patience is of upmost importance. In my experience, nothing inhibits learning as much as a rushed or pressured feeling when one is trying to learn. Finally, it is critical to find a way for the student to relate to the material in a way they understand. Each person is different and the teaching style should reflect that; not everyone fits nicely into a cookie cut template of learning.
