My college studies have been in a variety of fields with the most concentration in the arts and social sciences. At the University Center for Developmental Disabilities I have gained one-on-one experience with children with autism and have learned and employed several techniques used in the Operant Conditioning model. As a Teacher Assistant, I have the responsibilities of setting goals, creating objectives for weekly sessions, and tracking and recording weekly progress. Over the past 4 years, I've worked at the Colton Community services recreatioon depatrment. I am a very patient teacher and try to assess if the student is understanding all that I am teaching. I ask plenty of questions and try to get them to communicate with me and others in the group, if it's a class situation.
I taught English as a second language to adults and children in Austria and Germany while living there (total 4 years). I speak fluent German and lived in Europe for a total of 13 years.
