As I entered college, I quickly was labeled a tutor by my friends. They would find me before exams so I could give them a crash course on what they needed to know before an exam. Little by little, I had a following of friends and acquaintances who were reliant on me to do well in their courses. Since my friends and classmates found me very helpful, a handful of them recommended me to a tutoring and peer mentoring program at the University, where I eventually worked. I was located in a center where any student could reach me if they needed help in their science courses. My teaching style is a combination of serious, in-depth theory and practical examples to demonstrate such theories, all with a hint of humor, followed by significant practice of the newly learned skills. I've been "teaching" people all of my business career. I always start with the underlying theory and immediately segue into a practical example of how the principles work. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe organic chemistry can be very simple if you work hard enough at it. I can work with as many as four students at a time, and keep repeating a topic with a student until he or she understands the subject completely.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of Amherst College, I have been fortunate to have a great education. I majored in Political Science and consider myself a great writer. I also completed all the premedical requirements, and have taken 10 lab science courses in college from Physics to Biology. I would be comfortable teaching Writing and Reading Comprehension up through the college level.
