A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching at the Community College. I have students that range in age from 17 years old to 55 years old. I am enjoying teaching very much and would like to add to the teaching I do. I also taught for one year at the Tri City Christian Academy in Somersworth, NH. In that class I had students ranging in age from 11 years old to 18 years old. I have a BA in French from the University of Southern Maine. I am currently finishing my Master of Arts in Teaching French through the University of Maine. I love the language and feel that I pass on this love to my students.

I enjoy teaching high schoolers for a variety of reasons. Mostly because of how honest I can be with them. I enjoy teaching hands-on, real life application of the sciences in a way that students can understand the concept as well as the usefulness to them out in the real world. I have been educating people since 1987. I began in music education, which I taught successfully for 9 years, and also taught piano lessons. I then worked in special education for 1 year as an educational technician, where I tutored math, reading, and students with severe disabilities. Being a recent graduate of a university I am able to relate to students and understand the academic setting.
