A Little Bit About Me...

As a college senior, I've come to value greatly my education. Prior to enrolling at the University of Georgia, I made a perfect 800 on the math section of my SATs. Even though I am a science major, I have a great understanding of math. Currently, I tutor middle schoolers in basic algebra, most of whom are struggling and need a lot of help. I have also recently finished an entire college online algebra course online for someone with a 96 average.
My strongest suit in my teaching style is probably the many ways that I would approach teaching a certain principle. If the student does not understand one way to approach a problem, I try to best to help them understand and learn another way. Prior to pursuing a career in the health field, I always wanted to teach. I began my journey tutoring children with in my religious community, and then worked as a junior assistant for Kumon. After I started college, most of my experience was with individual tutoring. I tutored in algebra, biology, calculus etc. I am a determined person in that education lights ones future, and if I am a way through which someone can pursue the best with help, I am ever present.
I believe in critical thinking and relation between topics. I believe that individuals learn best by relating what they are learning to things they already know. I earned my B.S. in Biology, with minors in Kinesiology and Psychology and went on to earn my Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
