I have always excelled in most areas regarding reading and English. While in college all student were required to take tests that would direct them toward appropriate classes that would help them in several areas of study. I have prior tutoring experience with ELD (English Language Development) students at Vinland Elementary. I majored in vocal music, & previously held a medical coding cert (CCA) through the American Health Information Management Association. My mother is a retired elementary teacher, and owing to being on 2 different tracks for some years, I practically grew up in her classroom. For a while, no summer vacation was safe! I was still in class, and often helping. As an adult, I continued to help so much that at one point they actually offered me a tutoring job on campus. I have also worked for the City of Manhattan Beach's parks & rec, in the creative arts center. Between elementary schools, and parks & recreation, I have developed a rapport with many students.
