Hands-on, smiles-on!

I am very laid back and flexible. While I might be calm I only have 3 rules, 1. Be respectful, 2. the words "I can't" are not allowed :), and 3. have fun! I tend to create games based on the skills that are being taught and I'm not into lecturing, my approach is very hands. Learning can be fun!

My style is very visual with a lot of repetition and practice.
I have over 15 years experience in many areas of teaching from Adult Sign Language classes to Pre-kindergarten hearing. I have taught both hearing elementary students and deaf students of all ages. I have also taught overseas. I was a certified ASL interpreter until last year when my certification expired. I am currently teaching in an International program for students ages 13 to 22.

A Little Bit About Me...

I had once been told by a very seasoned teacher that "If you can not go through the front door find an open window." She opened my eyes to creative, and interesting ways to stimulate young minds.
