I believe in using the environment and the interests of the child to teach any subject. It is important to capture the interest of the child so they are motivated to learn. Each child learns in different ways so I adapt my teaching style to meet the needs of the child. I believe in developing creative and engaging lessons. My ultimate goal is to have children succeed in education based on their abilities and learning experiences.
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I have endorsements in Science, Language Arts, and Social Science. I have a degree in elementary education with endorsements in reading and history. I also greatly enjoy teaching writing. I taught Pre-K for two years with a focus on reading, writing, and math. I was a nanny for a year for five and seven year old. I would assist with homework and practice reading skills. I currently am subbing in various classrooms and teaching general subjects from Kindergarten to Middle School. I have a passion for teaching and really enjoy helping children learn.
I love working with children, especially in a one-on-one style to really help them grasp and understand a concept. I know all children are capable of learning and some just need a little extra help.
