I've enjoyed helping children and youth since a young age. I was a camp counselor for the Harriet Tubman Museum in Macon, GA at age 12, and tutored kindergarten and first graders at ages 16 and 17. I completed my undergraduate internship in school counseling office, and shortly after graduation worked in a psychiatric hospital for children and adolescents. I am very flexible in my teaching style and have helped students who learn in very different ways. While I was working with the Reading by the River program I worked with four different students each of which learned in very different ways. From this I learned at a very early time in my life that it is crucial to cater to each individual students needs.
