A Little Bit About Me...

I love to teach and help others in general. I always had difficulty when I was younger finding a tutor or some help in my studies that I could understand easily. I am a very patient and have a great sense of humor that come in handy during subjects of frustration. I believe if you can bring a child into their comfort zone and put the directions in the most simple fashion, a child can learn anything! I'd love to turn a subject they avoid into a subject to brag about...
I just graduated with a BA in Psychology and are two courses short of a minor in Spanish and Sociology. I've always been very strong in the English/Language Arts/Writing areas as well. A Little Bit About Me...

During high school, a manager at work asked if I would help tutor his Hispanic children. The tutoring lasted for about a year and we were all satisfied with the results. After graduating from Rutgers in 2006 with a BA in Psychology, I found a job as a residential counselor for the Devereux Foundation. Math and writing were top priorities and daily notes were taken to see how well each client progressed each week. I now work with a population of students who have developmental disabilities, such as autism. We focus our time on math, grammar, science, the arts, and social skills as well.
